Orange is well known for being Australia's "Colour City" and is at the base of an extinct volcano, Mt Canobolas. It's the perfect getaway destination. Getting there:
From Sydney: 280km W Sydney. Straight through the Blue Mountains to Bathurst on the Great Western Hwy. Then take the Mitchell Hwy from Bathurst to Orange. The Ambassador is the first motel on the left hand side coming into Orange.
